Waiting on the weather
Boeing has tentatively scheduled the first flight of the first 787 for 10 a.m. Tuesday Pacific time.
Whether it flies as planned depends on the weather. As Leeham Co. analyst Scott Hamilton notes, standing water on the runway could derail the plans; so could poor visibility or too much wind.
Right now, the forecast is for a 70-percent chance of rain, and winds from the southeast at around 13 mph.
Boeing has set up a Web site where you can watch live video of the first flight.
